Please don’t come into gis industry. It is not a stabilized industry right now or even in future.

It will take years to get india into gis industry. It is only a cream on cake. In india we have not even prepared a cake, how do you wish to become a cake. there are thousands of people who worked in gis field and finally moved to other fields as the IT industry expanded. better look for some other job.

Only those people who have settled in gis field are creating subh blogs and luring engineers and high qualified people. If you compare with other countries like USA and UK, gis work will be done by school drop outs and under graduate people. don’t spoil your career. Get Phd or doctorate and all the indian big companies will demand you in their companies.

I know manjo very well. He has a great skills, since he settled in GIS and is keepon poring his views in different blog web sites.
But in reality he should have been in a much higher position in a IT company if he would have choosen IT as a career. It was a blunder by an IIT grad to start his own company now.
